beansforyou
Just thought I'd post this for those who may be parking in Sheffield tomorrow, Boxing day. It's not being classed as a bank holiday, so make sure to pay n display as normal. Mon 28th is being substituted as the Bank Holiday. https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads/travel/driving/parking.html
Old_Bloke
Monday is the bank holiday. There's no substitution going on. Worth being aware of the parking charge situation anyway.

gazza c
some retailers are having boxing day 26th as bank hol as they would normally open saturdays anyway and their staff work. so monday is just a normal day for some. only reason govt has moved it is so that the masses who normally work on a monday dont lose out on a bank holiday day. Dannyno
As the government explain: If a bank holiday is on a weekend, a ‘substitute’ weekday becomes a bank holiday, normally the following Monday. Your employer doesn’t have to give you paid leave on bank or public holidays. https://www.gov.uk/bank-holidays
Andy C
Supertram park and ride car parks are free on Boxing Day, just pay for the tram ride if you park and ride.

Penistone999
So on the day when tens of thousands of people head to the sales , SCC cant even offer free parking to attract people to spend their money in the city centre . Pathetic. No wonder the city centre is dying on its feet. Still, their loss of income is Meadowhalls gain.

This always happens when Christmas day or Boxinng Day falls over a weekend. The Bank Holiday is designated by the Goverment not by the council.
