foxy lady
There is no evidence he aspires to that. None at all. the_bloke
What if he did admire Marx? Why is that a problem? Clearly neither Corbyn or the Labour party have any plans to transform the UK into a communist state, or anything vaguely resembling one. IMO the economic analysis of Marx (and Engels) was quite brilliant. I wouldn't want or agree with what they saw as the ultimate outcome but it doesn't detract from the quality of the work they did. You can appreciate them while also appreciating the work of Adam Smith, for example. Are you a Marxist?
Eric Arthur
Decide for yourself from the man himself. Skip to about 6:30 where Corbyn dodges the question about being a Marxist but basically says that he is.
Quik
There is no evidence he aspires to that. None at all. Where are you getting this from? The man has been a extreme leftist his entire life. There isn't a mad far left cause he hasn't backed. Demanding 'proof' of what are matters of public record just sounds as silly as someone demanding 'proof' that Nick Griffen is a racist. You may be a far leftist who agrees with him, thats fine, but please stop trying to whitewash history and pretend he's anything other than the far leftist he is. I1L2T3
Are you a Marxist? Can you read? I just said in my post that I admire his work, but that I don't agree with the ultimate outcomes he envisaged. ---------- Post added 09-01-2016 at 19:40 ---------- The man has been a extreme leftist his entire life. He's not an extreme leftist, not by any stretch of the imagination. You're just applying simplistic pejorative labels you've been brainwashed into using. ---------- Post added 09-01-2016 at 19:45 ---------- http://communist-party.org.uk/britain/75-political-report/2154-corbyn-victory-rebuilding-the-force-for-change.html http://communistplatform.org.uk/corbyn-model-resolution/ Of course the communists will be happy. They would interpret Corbyn's success being a sign that power is shifting back towards the workers. They would not expect him to be the person to actually deliver communism, just him being one tiny step in an extended process. So, let's have some real evidence please. If you have any. Of course the communists welcome one of their own. It is just another sign that the Labour Party is making a large shift to the left. A shift that will be far more to the left by 2020. I'm not about to take your word on these matters. I read the papers, I listen to the man. I see the reports on the news. I see his disagreements with moderate Labour MPs, and their replacement by more left wing lunatics. He's a danger to our security. He's a danger to our economy and a danger to our way of life. He is a friend to extremists. He is a friend to terrorist nations who are our enemies. If I saw a report on the news that a local store had been raided and found to be selling counterfiet Khrushchev vodka that was a danger to health, I would take note of the warning. If I then went to another store and found Khrushchev vodka I wouldn't take the risk of buying it. There are loads of other brands that are far safer. I won't be voting Labour whilst the mad man is in charge because I think he is a major risk to this country. There are lots of other parties available and I will vote for whichever one offers the best chance of keeping Corbyn out of power. There are hundreds of thousands of folk around the country who share my concern. They too will vote in the marginal seats and ensure that Corbyn never gets a chance to influence the policy of this country. You've used those labels in a way that shows you can't possibly know what they mean. If you did know then you wouldnt use them about Corbyn. Now. Evidence please. Solid evidence. If you have any.
