Corbyn offers to do a televised debate with Cameron

Shame you don't, they are Corbyn's biggest supporters in the media. He used to write articles for them until recently. Surprised you claim to know all about political bias in the printed and televised media industry but know nothing about the Morning Star.

I just state how i see things, whether that rattles your cage or not is up to you,

as for newspapers, i dont bother with any of them, i do most of my readin on the tinterweb

These terms evolve. What does it matter if he wouldn't be hard left by '60s standards. It's todays standards that matter.

 

A lot of us are keen that Corbyn shouldn't run the country. Largely because the last time somebody like him was in charge we had the IMF in and it took over a decade to recover.

He's proposing to try policies that were disastrous before and send us the way of Greece.

Ah, i dont agree on that point, it just suits the medias interest to call him that,

it gets people into a panic..

talking about disastrous policies, Gideon doesnt seem to be doing too well does he? he was boasting how well we were doing a few months ago, now he is all doom and gloom foretelling impending disasters, looks like he has messed up

If you want to convince people that Corbyn's policies are good. State them and explain how they would make things better.

Many won't agree, but they'll listen. Exercise your free speech constructively and persuade people that your ideas and the ideas of those you support can make the country better.

Concentrate on showing that people are wrong, rather than questioning their reasons for saying things. That's how it's supposed to work.

It's not rattling my cage at all, though you can't accuse people of being brainwashed by right wing press without seeming to understand much about media political bias beyond links to blogs and the Guardian.

 

You really should have a read of the Morning Star, you'd enjoy it, I'm not even being facetious.

Okay great. Myself I'm unconvinced about the nationalisation plans, but they're hardly crazy. They are expensive to the state though.

Rent control I'm pretty sure wouldn't work. Most private landlords have mortgages to pay. If you force the rent down, they'll just sell.

 

He's not just an MP now though. He's a prospective PM.

What changes would he and the shadow Chancellor make to the tax system? I'm especially interested in the personal income tax allowance, the rates and thresholds of income tax overall and the VAT rate. If there are any planned changes to NI, that would be important too.
