Margarita Ma
He is probably relying on you not wanting to lay out the extra cash to make a small claim and take time off work to see it through. It might be worth telling him you are about to do this and invite the Sheffield star to sit in on the proceedings. Take a witness with you whenever you speak to him and be careful of your language better still put everything in writing and keep a copy or have your witness record your next meeting on a phone. You could also have the garage transfer their recording to your phone through their computer and play it to him. Tell him you will present the bill for the work the garage did as part of your expences as well as everything else this has cost you including time off work. Keep a record of everything and let him know that not having the engine number on the receipt is likely to mean that a court will take a dim view of his business dealings, mentioning the police would not come amiss as long as you have someone big and strong with you at the time. If you are not prepared to do this or similar you will have to put it down to experience and if buying anything else from a second hand car dealer or scrapper parts place make sure you have serial numbers on the receipt as well as their prited name on the paperwork. All posts and replies quoring any of the above have been removed. Just remember. We only have one side of the story.
