In brief she has starred in a few Carry On films , Eastenders , Online Bingo advertisements and jumped on the British Legion bandwagon . Some of her choices of friends and associates in the past have not exactly been pillars of the community . She's also campaigned on behalf of a number of charities for at least 20 years, including being an Ambassador for Variety, Age UK, British Legion, Children In Need and the SCT amongst others. It's well publicised she's to be made a dame due to her charity work, not acting career. If they were scraping the bottom of the barrel to give people honors, then perhaps they should be looking on this forum to give out honours for moaning?
