Littledaler
Researching family history and my grandfather was born on Rectory Terrace, his birth being registered in the Brightside parish of Sheffield. Google does not recognise Rectory Terrace - does anyone know whereabouts it was please? Thanks.
hillsbro
Rectory Terrace was off Upwell Street, near Brightside Church - here is a map. In case it's of interest, here are scans from the 1911 and 1925 directories. Edited January 4, 2016 by hillsbro

If so the google " cars" may not be able to access it
JFKvsNixon
If you compare Hillsbro's map with google maps you can see that Rectory Terrace no longer exists, but you can see where it used to be.

Here is a modern satellite view of the area.

Littledaler
Thank you all for your prompt responses, particularly hillsbro. Even though all the houses are now gone, I can still get a feel for where my Grandfather was born. No doubt I'll be back with more queries!
