Freemasons banned from Hillsborough enquiry

Recommended Posts

It is not a 'secret society', as just about everything you need to know, or want to know, can be found quite easily. We say that we are a 'society with secrets', and the only secrets really, are the funny handshake, and maybe a few passwords we use in our meetings.

Most of the Lodes are male only, but there are ladies lodges too, though not as many.

Everything except who the members actually are, especially the most influential ones higher up the chain.

Then we wonder why life in the UK is skewed towards the 'great and the good.'

If it's so good and does such good work, why is it a secret society?

Perhaps they like to do good charitable work and work for the good of society, without being ostentatious about it. They may not be wanting to do it for personal gain.

They may also like to spend (what appears to me to be a very boring) time with people they can trust and who are like-minded.

*no offence meant in my "boring" comment. It's just not for me on the face of it. Perhaps when I get a little older??

why do you need to know who the members are? Freemasons do huge amounts for various charities and most do it without looking for any praise or recognition , whats wrong with that? ah i see you think there is some sort of back handing going on:suspect:

Why would they be banned from the enquiry, something not quite right perhaps?

Well to be fair there almost certainly is some bank handing going on, but nothing worse than you'd see down the local golf club for example. Neither are good to have but there is no way to over-ride basic human nature.

One of the masons I know is a train driver...why would you want to know his name?
