Jeremy Corbyn’s hopes of changing Labour policy to dump Trident look set to be defeated by trade unions whose members rely on the defence industry.

There's no way that Unite's Labour MP's will vote against Trident, and from memory, that's over half of Labour's MP's.

 

Unite used to publish a list of the MP's and MEP's they had in their pocket on the Unite website but it seems to have disappeared.

Here's the numbers to confirm that retaining nuclear weapons will continue to be the Labour policy. Corbyn will lose this nuclear defence argument unless he manages some kind of mass replacement of standing MP's for his own people, which would be the ultra leftist way of course. The problem then is that he'd have to get them elected by voters who quite like the nuclear deterrent.

Some people here seem to think he is not, some do. So who thinks Corbyn can be legitimately described as a far left politician based on his political career, words and deeds and who disagrees with that view?

I just go by his appointments
