Sam @ Dearne
Can anyone recommend me a professional aerial fitter for a DAB aerial on my van. Must be experienced in working on VW T5 Transporter. I have the head unit, just need a wing mirror or external aerial. Needs to know correct way of getting into dashboard etc.... geared
You can buy a splitter to work with the standard Ariel.
Orzel
I always though that wavelengths are same, aerial is same, it's only receiver that is different. If you want two receivers splitter might do, only in case of poor reception go for separate one. If you go for DAB only just use old one. If reception is poor get only new antenna that will replace your old one without changing mount.
alchresearch
It all depends on the quality of the existing AM/FM aerial in place. A few places report poor DAB signal and unpredictable results with splitters.
