I'm particularly interested in the piano, does anyone know of any places with a piano, I've been to The Ivory and I've heard there are others but I don't know where! welchiewelch Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 If you are interested there is a world class jazz dance act coming from Tokyo, Japan next week - 29th April - they are called Soil & Pimp Sessions and they are playing at Phonetics @ The Room, Rockingham Street. 11pm-4am £7 b4 12 / £8 after. vinceb Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 Trippets (on Trippet Lane) have a jazz night there on Thursdays; went down last week, and I thought it was really good - just a trio of drums, guitar and keyboard (organ), but they managed to make a fine racket between them. Lescar on Sharrowvale Road does jazz nights, as well as other live music. Trippet's Wine Bar hosts Sizzler's Jazz Club on Thurs nights. The Sheffield on Crimicar Lane do jazz on Weds nights, plus some new ones on Sat I think. Dam House Restaurant on Mushroom Lane do jazz nights once a month. Ivory do live jazz - don't know which eves. West Street Live do jazz on Sunday nights, plus others I think.
