Skink
Our rescue dog has proven very chilled in most circumstances and I need to head in to the city for a couple of meetings - rather than leave him at home it would be nice to find a dog friendly place to go Any suggestions? katkin
I don't think I've found one yet in Sheffield city centre where dogs other than assistance dogs are allowed inside. We tend to have to sit outside and wherever you go, you've either got to travel in pairs or find someone you can trust to temporarily watch your dog whilst you are served indoors (haven't found anywhere where they come out to serve you). If we need a bit of cover, the cafes in the old Leopold Square at least have parasols and (one of them has) overhead heating. Some of the ones in the Peace Gardens are OK about sitting outside with your dog too - café rouge will probably serve you outside, thinking about it. We occasionally use the Starbucks near the Lyceum and the Costas when they have seating outside. We haven't yet achieved 'dog friendly' status in Sheffield, not like Hebden Bridge which has more cafes and food outlets where dogs are welcome - it even has a dog café. Be interested to hear what others say. The pubs near Kelham Island are more dog welcoming.
Skink
thanks katkin - I have been told Tamper on Arundel St allow dogs but, as you say, possibly outdoors only. Bakewell seems just as bad - but we have now found a great and dog friendly spot there (forget the name, its off the road behind Holland and Barrett on the way round to the swimmng pool) we go to The Lakes a lot and it is so much better there
Bad_Hair_Day
The Steam Yard on Division Street allow dogs inside, and the Devonshire Cat does aswell (although that's a pub, not a cafe).

Guest sibon
We want to go to some pubs in Sheffield Centre over the next few weeks, but need to take our dog. Any suggestions, please? Just about any of the Kelham Island pubs allow dogs. The Red Deer does, as does the Three Tuns if it is open
