onewheeldave
There are also people who support those actions,so should we give up those actions or give up charitable work and give the money elsewhere with no checks and balances. If cutbacks are necessary, then we should cutback on buying weapons/building bombs/'war on drugs' etc, well before cutting health, welfare and benefits. iansheff
The first responsibility of any government is the security of the nation. Unless its a Labour government we seldom get involved in an aggressive war. In that case then why did Cameron get rid of the Harriers and the Canberras, not to mention leaving us without an aircraft carrier, the 2 new carriers won't be in commission till about 2020. Is that responsible?
Ghozer
There's not enough space here, and I don't have enough time.... my DWP DISASTER story is way too long, and way too complicated....
Mister M
Yes, you are a Tory. A typical died-in-the-wool Tory who is so obviously never going to change his views no matter what argument is put before him, therefore it would be pointless trying to discuss anything with you. 'Ted' has been on this Forum under a different guise. I can spot the signs

That's an admirable way to think however some people think that the war on drugs and the development of pawn countries is more important to welfare and benefits. ANGELFIRE1
Just think about it, what's the difference between the Cons, the Labs and the Libs, answer - nowt they are all as bent as each other, snouts in the trough of plenty, and bugger the masses. We need a revolution. Angel1..

We need a revolution. Angel1.. Revolutions don't work- they just end up as another dictatorship or democracy where all options are equally corrupt. We need a realisation- that all 'authority' is illusory. All governance requires the complicit consent of the population in pretending that governments actually have moral authority. We are free humans with free minds, totally capable of living in peace on this world, governance is unnecessary and counter productive.
GLASGOWOODS
Any stats on how many people gave up their benefits, rather than face an assessment? If carried out in a dignified and morally right manner, then i think it's a good thing.

Forcing people off benefits they're entitled to leaving them with no money for rent till they die of starvation, or committ suicide cos they can't face losing their home, cannot be done in "a dignified and morally right manner", as it's immoral.
