geared
These the same pollsters that totally messed up the recent election?? Trust them less than I trust the weatherman.
Anna B
Surely those poll results point to what I've always thought about the British people; we are passionate moderates. We are born middle-of-the-roaders, always trying to see things from all points of view, happy to try and reach a compromise, the epitome of the happy medium, a country full of quaint ambiguities. We dislike extremes, and argue only over the middle ground.. We are able to embrace both capitalism and socialism, and long may it continue. little malc
Anna B gets it about right, but don't forget the public put in a Tory government so perhaps not quite so socialist after all. And now an extreme left wing leader has taken over Labour they have little chance of ever coming back into the centre main stream.

Or.......millions didn't vote because they had no one to represent them? I think a large proportion of the youth are very left wing.

I think a large proportion of the youth don't know much about politics or life in general yet, and millions did not vote for many various reasons .... IMHO ! When I was a lad 'youth' was not University age, anyway many working class 'youth' are more right wing, streetwise and have not been fancifully brainwashed at any university ! aliceBB
anyway many working class 'youth' are more right wing, streetwise and have not been fancifully brainwashed at any university ! Who or what do you think 'fancifully brainwashes' students? Please explain why you think people who are unable or unwilling to pursue higher education are likely to be much more intelligent when it comes to politics (as you seem to imply).
