Askjeeves
When you apply for marriage licence... Is their a website that the application for licence goes on for others to object to before hand?
Berberis
It does depend on what type of wedding you are having. If its going to be held at a registry office, you have to give notice 28 days before the ceremony so they can publish your intention to marry. If you are getting married in an Anglican church, you don't need to notify the registry office. They do something called banns, which is announce to the congregation every week for 4 weeks (I think). There is no published website with whom is going to marry whom to my knowledge.

geared
You do the application at the council if it's not an Anglican wedding IIRC.
