AMR67
The road itself is still NSL, however, along the stretch which usually floods, they have put an Advisory speed limit of 30 which I'm presuming only comes into effect when the road is very wet and likely to become flooded. waddy13
There is no such road as Wooley Wood Bottom, that is just the local unofficial name for it. It is in fact Ecclesfield Road S5, not to be confused with Ecclesfield Road Chapeltown/Ecclesfield S35.
jensen1378
It should stay at national speed limit. Just because people can slow down when it's wet doesn't mean we should have to go slower. Drive at a speed for the road conditions not necessarily at the speed limit posted. In nice dry conditions the road is fine at 60, if it rains heavily then you slow down. It's not exactly rocket science. Edited March 1, 2016 by jensen1378

Try parking in a lay-by and crossing the road....it's like trying to walk across a motorway! A 40 mph limit would be more appropriate.

Hi, having lived in Sheffield for 32 years I have crossed that road many times and never have I had a problem with it. No one has ever died from crossing that road. Plus even if it's a 40 people will still do 60, as the road in normal conditions is capable of that. Edited March 2, 2016 by jensen1378

In my experience the majority of traffic I have had to follow on that stretch tend to do 30 - 40 already so nothing will change
