PeteMorris
Maybe we should close all roads when there's a threat of rain?...A preemptive strike, so to speak.
Scutts
I wonder if there are any other roads anywhere in the country that are closed before it even rains?
Moonbird
And it is still closed! Or was an hour ago.
Gingerchick
It's still closed and traffic on surrounding roads is horrendous!

jensen1378
Maybe people should learn how to drive. If its raining one would assume a driver knows to slow down. Whether they are doing the speed limit or not you should slow down. Had this had happened the road would still be a 60 mph road, which it should be. But alas it's not. Jog_on
People are obsessed with speed when in fact the biggest problems lie with people driving stupidly slow and frustrating people who want to make progress. Overtaking on here is perfectly safe as long as you do it quickly with full visibility when there is nothing coming the other way.
whitewitch
Went past about 8.30 this evening, 2 pumping vehicles at the beginning of the road closed signs, presuming they will be pumping the flooded bit again.
