sgtkate
I hear Sharia law is widely used in sheffield nowadays There's always one, and today you win the pointless numpty award. Vix2000 might be worth speaking to Jeffrey Shaw on here. He may have some contacts, he does property law mainly but I'm sure knows many other solicitors. 999tigger
Contact the law society or SRA for guidance. You can also google The British Indian Lawyers Association. That would be your best bet on finding a dual qualified lawyer. There are some firms with the relevant expertise, but they tend to be in London and are commercial practices i.e corporate rates. Alternatively you could use a uk solicitor to act as agent and they could contact an advocate in india. there is nothing stopping you contacting one in india directly, but am unsure what your level of cover is. If you google indian lawyers and home office, they have a list. I am unfamiliar with Indian law , but would be surpised if it varies from region to region. You have to find the right lawyer with the right regional expertise.
