Quik
The law was changed, so children can now only do light work and farm work doesn't fall in that category. Its a pity because I enjoyed working the farms as a kid. That would explain it, cheers for the info. Shame, I guess until we get a government that governs in the interests of the British we'll be stuck with these sort of silly regulations.
JFKvsNixon
Definitely the unsustainable numbers. How is it unsustainable when we currently have a lot less people currently living in the UK than was predicted? What we do have is a lot more foreigners, and I'd suggest that it's this that is vexing some.

Its unsustainable because our population can't be sustained without exploiting the resources of other countries.
JFKvsNixon
Its unsustainable because our population can't be sustained without exploiting the resources of other countries. Ok, so when we were predicted to have a bigger population with less foreigners, it wasn't unsustainable. But when we have a smaller population with more foreigners then it becomes unsustainable. It's not a winning argument.

It would be unsustainable even if everyone was white and a descendant of the earliest hunter gathers.

We were mych more self sufficient for food/energy and 'stuff' back then to be fair. Britain has got more and more reliant on other countries to deliver both the things we need and the things we want. JFKvsNixon
It would be unsustainable even if everyone was white and a descendant of the earliest hunter gathers. But our population is less than was predicted, and nobody was predicting the end of the world when those predictions were announced. So what has changed, if it's not the amount of foreigners, which by complete coincidence, you are opposed to?
dangerousedd
well if he doesn't want to exploit resources of other countries he'll have to come up with a way to kill off most of the population.
