Jacktari
You need 30 qualifying years of National Insurance contributions for a full pension. Try asking for a pension at 46. They tell you to work until you are
Jeffrey Shaw
Based on a 37.5 hour week, a pensioner is paid about £3.00 per hour. Not much after 50 years hard work. But the pensioner is not being paid to work- nor to do anything, in fact. PLUS: that's the State Pension only. You did not take into account any privately-funded pension. The government states a minimum. Are you saying they should be paid less than that minimum ?
