the_mandarin
I had once ordered food from Balti King over the phone, and that is how they seem to have added my mobile number to their database. It's been more than a year since I either ate there or ordered food from there - the food wasn't very good. But since then, I regularly get text messages with "50% off, valid this month only". I have tried calling the owner who promised me that my number will be taken off their list, but not before he asked me for my name I told him he didn't need to know my name to take my number off I then went as far as tracking down the company that manages their text ads, and even they promised me that my number will be taken off. All was quiet for a few months, until they started again. Any advice on how to get these messages to stop? For those fortunate enough never to have anything to do with Balti King, you have been warned

lauren84
I had a wowcher voucher for there and shortly afterwards I was receiving texts every week. They have stopped now but at the time I wasn't appreciative of the weekly reminder of the disgusting food I had there. Never again!
the_mandarin
It's funny how they think sending out all these spam texts is going to increase their business, when all that it is doing is exactly the opposite of that!

For those fortunate enough never to have anything to do with Balti King, you have been warned The system they use may well have needed a name to remove yours. It depends what they were using. If it carries on just give them your name, it's not a detail that anyone can use to steal your money or other.

JFKvsNixon
It must be difficult having to go to the bother of deleting unwanted texts.
