derfblade
Kids parties have gone the same way with lots of kids invited to go skating or having a make over or whatever, all at the parents expense. Has pass the parcel gone past it's sell by date?
s12Nick
Christ on a bike, a horse and carriage? Really? Is this a troll thread? Christ on a bike is the back-up plan.
MJ01
My child has just done quite well in its first spelling test & I'm looking to rent an exclusive luxury resort -any suggestions? I know its a bit over the top, but what a great memory for them. 2 main points coming out of this thread - 1) it's up to the parent(s) how they spend their money 2) it's worrying how gullible a large number of parents have become & its doesn't bode well for the future. If putting your head down an unflushed toilet is the next big 'thing' in American schools, would you do that too & would that be 'a great memory for them''? I know its a bit over the top, but what a great memory for them. Krk looks a nice place and is easy to spell which will encourage them to develop the skill. Llanfair PG might be a challenging alternative
jake
In response to the question - through the wonders of google - here's a local(ish) firm http://www.cottamcarriages.co.uk I dread to think how much it'd cost though.

cytine
My school leaving disco was in 1965. We wore our best clothes, nothing new, met up with friends and went and came home on the bus. We danced with the teachers and had a fabulous time. Nothing like today's expensive, over the top extravagant do's but still have wonderful memories. *_ash_*
In response to the question - through the wonders of google - here's a local(ish) firm http://www.cottamcarriages.co.uk I dread to think how much it'd cost though. You'd think a minimum of 4 figures. I couldn't see how they could do it for less than a couple of grand at least. Especially in Sheffield. If you look at where they specialise the horses must be kept somewhere south/ south west of Sheffield. Imagine the cost of just getting that carriage here. ---------- Post added 03-05-2016 at 23:16 ---------- My school leaving disco was in 1965. Slightly before I was alive I reckon it's internet that has changed things. probably up to 10 or 15 years ago, it would be unheard of to have all these makeover/horses and hummers. francypants
Exactly It'll be nursery school next !!!!!! No. Kids go to secondary school after junior school, not nursery. Eh ? They have a 'graduation' day over here when a child leaves nursery :| This is exactly what I meant ..... they'll be having OTT leaving do's at nursery school next like they do in America !!!!!!
