Gingerbarf
Richmond Park... oh the memories Coming down from the flats on Stardbroke road, trying not to land in the stream at the bottom, oh what fun. Also "Sheperds Hill" opposite the Hollin Bush Pub, as many as possible on a car bonnet trying to get over the second hill at the bottom. the only problem was pulling it all the way back up. there would be hundreds of people, suprised it's only been mentioned once? Gingerbarf
Also a small hill on bottom of Mansfield Drive, Intake. Borrow the red and white barriers used to cordon off road works and melt the end to lift up slightly then you have your home made snowboard, excellent

Susan tc
We used to sledge in Graves Park. There always seemed to be snow in the winter then - but if you wanted really deep snow you had to go out to Derbyshire - we had friends at Eyam and the snow there was great. muckynees
My dad made a sledge for me and my sis when we were young and I still have it to this day, we used to go in Longley park sledging in the snow (crashing into a few trees) or sometimes Chaucer school field. My kids have used the sledge over the last couple of years but haven't had half as much fun with it it as me and my sis did!
Destiny
Sledging down Sally Clarks at Woodhouse.(in the 70's & 80's).........i relived that memory a few years ago when we actually had some snow deep enough to sledge. It was awsome.
GrinderBloke
The thing I miss most about not living in Sheffield is the snow, I know the country as a whole has much easier winters, but here in Lincolnshire winters are almost tropical As for sledging, that would have to be Norfolk Park.
