ratter71
Proper, homemade biscuits & gravy are lovely, especially with sausage. Just dont go to somewhere like Wendys & expect quality If you really want to plumb the depths of depravity for all breakfast items, you need to try the horror that is grits..... Grits are fine if eaten properly, ie a ton of hot sauce & egg yolk mixed in
top4718
There were fast food places called Chicken & Biscuits when I last went, I never did quite get it.
Obelix
The USA is a very large country and it has many regional food dishes, just like here. Even the major chains tailor their offerings to suite the local taste, I spend about 8 weeks a year over there and very rarely eat in chain restaurants preferring the local ones. Don't get me going about grits. Louisiana. Fried snake for breakfast. I blame the influence of the French me.
natonstan
I live in Texas, the home of Biscuits and gravy, biscuits here are more like scones, very odd and the gravy is white
spilldig
Don't know about them, but I once ordered a bowl of grits in New Orleans. Never again.

natonstan
Thanks for the info!! Er, I'll not bother....... It's not the greatest mate, I tried it once since moving here and I've not had it since, I don't know how the Americans can say our food is bad, some of the stuff I've had here have been awful.
