euclid
I have used Castrol in my car/motorcycle engines since the 1960s and never had a problem, although don't forget motorcycle oil is different from car oil...I also use the old oil when I service my bikes in my lawnmowers, never had a problem with them either :D:D.If you are that worried buy a good product, the cheap oils will probably just be re-cycled oil,an engine costs a lot of money..don't skimp on the lubrication. Dardandec
on a £300 Facebook/Sheffield forum special bargains? As much as that? I once bought one for £50, stuck some sills on it for the MOT which cost me £12 and ran it for 3 years pretty much trouble free other than a leaking shocker and a porous tyre, then sold it for £100 not that long ago either. Obelix
Clearly you've not tried replacing an engine on anything other than a complete rustbucket then. Whilst you may revel in driving a heap, there are a lot of people who don't and your advice regarding oil is factually incorrect, and can cost them a lot of money if they follow it. Each engine oil has code on it. if it matches or exceed the manufactures standard. how can it kill an engine?
