Obelix
Ah look - see those goalposts moving Some engines have quite stringent demands on oil. But you said... jsut put in what ever home bargain or poundland have on offer. oil is oil, dont let those people in the business rip you off with designer engine oil which wont have the oil has code on it. that is needed, and it will upset the engine. Michaeldyn
so you are saying homebargain engine oil has no standard and only good for bicycle?
Obelix
I'm saying you don't understand what specifications and standards oils havem and why they are important to get the correct ones. Without knowing what the spec and approvals are for your bargain oil it's impossible to comment.

Obelix
What are the specifications and approvals for that oil? It'll be on the bottle somewhere. And I'm not googling it because that's your job and I don't need to do it since you can read it off the bottle. And don't be claiming you can by that from HB or wherefore for 2 quid a litre. I simply don't believe you. Edited May 23, 2016 by Obelix
