RootsBooster
It works on my Insignia, in fact the mechanic at the VX dealer advised me to do this to reset the 'service vehicle soon' and the system not recognising the auxiliary devices. It works! I can only speak from experience. Diagnostic modules can be bought cheaply on ebay. The service interval indicator is very different to a malfunction indicator lamp. The only "diagnostic modules" to be bought cheaply on eBay (unless you own a VAG vehicle) are simple EOBD readers, which don't do a great deal. Apparently according to Bristol St Motors the 'service due soon' doesn't mean that at all, it was a glow plug which had burnt out, hmmm!!!. Disconnecting the battery clears most things which are just 'nagging' warnings.
alchresearch
All it is is an airbag light that needs to be cleared which came on after a seat was moved. Fault lights usually clear themselves after three "cycles" if the problem has disappeared.
