iansheff
I don't know if this works, but apparently from today you can now register your mobile with TPS. I know it doesn't stop all the nuisance calls on the landline but I will give it a try. I just tried it and a message came up on my phone saying would cause charges on my mobile account, so have removed the link sorry about that. Mods can you lock or delete the thread. Berberis
From today? My mobile number has been registered on the TPS for a number of years.
Blackbeard
All my phones are registered TPS and have been for years, even if it is not that affective. Typical sloppy journalism from the Murdoch Press, strangely enough I found the worst company for phone spam was SKY, another one of the Murdoch companies. spilldig
Will it restrict foreign based calls though ?
iansheff
I took the link off because when I pressed send it said would cause charges on my mobile account. I know registration is free with the TPS so I never followed it up.

Berberis
Will it restrict foreign based calls though ? No, TPS has no power to stop calls originating from foreign countries.
geared
The TPS don't have the power to stop anything. but if a company is repeatedly calling people listed on the TPS it can get into trouble. (They usually dissolve themselves before any court case)
