blake
Japanese boy abandoned in bear-infested woods reunited with parents who left him there as 'punishment' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/03/japanese-boy-found-alive-in-mountains-having-been-left-in-forest/ the 7 year old lad, after having been deliberately abandoned to fend for himself for a week in 'bear infested' woods and no food in a wilderness area, now seems to have been allowed by the authorities to go back to the parents who abandoned him to the elements, after having accepted his punishment, as if nothing had happened. just occasionally news stories like this come out of Japan that can make somebody wonder if it is maybe the most crackpot society ever. You didn't read the article then..... just cherry picked the outrage... They left him (deliberately) at the side of the road and drove off, walking back to get him a few minutes later and found he had gone. Not what you would call the best idea, and one they should be castigated soundly for but they didn't abandon him Hansel and Gretel style in the middle of a dark forest. Way to exaggerate. Left to fend for himself for a week... Actually left for a few minutes, but had walked off when the parents returned.

Along with the classic "If you don't behave we'll give you away" I once told my kids Id stick them on Ebay. It never worked, they were still pains in the bum
Dottie1
I know kids can be annoying but what's wrong with the naughty step.
F. Sidebottom
I know kids can be annoying but what's wrong with the naughty step. Japanese cars don't come with naughty steps as standard. Now get on the naughty step for being so annoying.
Stranza
On the plus side it made some of my parenting exploits look sane. I'm confident he will be VERY good from now on. Glad it's a happy ending
