RonJeremy
Explain how he is trying to troll It was only a 'technicality' that the minimum wage law was broken because of issues surrounding theft by workers. Thank you. just read some of his other post Please provide links to evidence of this. My viewpoint may be different from others, but it is how I see things. It is considerably less sensationalist than the media's on most occasions.

mrcharlie
We were discussing this story at work yesterday. when someone posed a thought that made us stop and think for a second or two. It's claimed the vast majority of his workforce are migrants earning the minimum wage. In other words after they've paid their rent, food, travel expenses etc etc there's probably not much left to go shopping with......and just to remind ourselves they'll also probably be under the tax threshold too! So what exactly is their contribution to the UK economy other than the fact they are a good source of cheap labour for Mike Ashleys business. Exploited....ofcourse they are. It feels as though we are moving back towards the Victorian era....does it not!

Penistone999
That's not entirely correct is it? If you leave a job voluntarily because 'you don't like it' you had better have another job to go to because you won't be able to claim any unemployment benefit. In an area where this company is way and beyond the biggest employer, that is going to be difficult. Likewise, you will not have much choice in signing a 0 hours contract if you are offered a job, or again you will have intentionally made yourself unemployed and won't qualify for any state help. So not much choice is there? Unless you can live on fresh air... most of these people are agency workers ,so move from job to job through the agency . Thats how it works.
