Pensions & the NHS under threat

Recommended Posts

...........you do realize that it's down to lots of pensioners who saved this country from the Master-race on two occasions that some people seem to now want to stay in bed with!

I don,t want free movement so we will have to see what is negotiated. Don,t want to,live or work in Europe and if they want to make it hard for me to holiday there I will go to the US

There will have to be free movement of people with any single market agreement.

Sorry Panz, net migration will keep going up and up.

Colleague found an old copy of the Mirror from 1983 in his attic over the weekend. The pre GE scaremongering stated that if the Tories won the election, then the NHS would be dismantled and privatised immediately.

Sound familiar?

Sound familiar?

It's taken them over 2 decades, but they are well into the process of setting it up to fail and be privatised.

didn't pensioners pay into the system all their lives to get good health care when their older or is it proposed putting them straight onto the Liverpool care pathway when they start costing money?

They paid into the system for the system at the time. Do you think that all the payments were put aside for when they got older?

I'll just leave this acronym-link here for dangerousedd: PFI.

Methinks a lot of people have come to understand how much of a Ponzi scheme tax-funded pensions and healthcare actually are, all the more so when the age pyramid starts to get the wrong shape, in recent years on the back of the "readjustments" that followed the 2008 crisis...

...but obviously still not all of the people ;)

It's only ponzi like because life expectancy keeps increasing and the age pyramid thus gets all out of shape. It would have been difficult to predict when it was set up that this would happen, but the reform should have started about 30 years ago probably.

Ironically life expectancy is increasing in no small part to the improvement in healthcare.....
