El Cid
Or Jo Cox's husband and children. Most dangerous jobs in the UK between 2011 and 2016, and how much they pay. Construction (of buildings) – 196 deaths, £18,080 annual salary. ... Farming and forestry - 152 deaths, £22,157 annual salary. ... Manufacturing – 111 deaths, £27,457 annual salary. But those 196/152/111 figures are from a very large workforce. I bet that they're actually quite tiny percentages.

Albert smith
When they retire they get a resettlement payment ,One prominent Sheffield M.P got around £100.000( if reports are to believed). A bloke called Robert Tressell wrote a book called The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists exposing the greed that happens when men get into positions of power ,some of these local so called Labour M.P.'s from the so called Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire should read it. If you can get me some percentage figures that show being an MP as a dangerous profession? We had the IRA having a go, and Airey Neave, any more? I read that about fifty years ago. I've realised that some of those with even a little power abuse it. Somehow it seems worse when they purport to be on the side of the underdog. ---------- Post added 01-02-2018 at 19:56 ---------- Most dangerous jobs in the UK between 2011 and 2016, and how much they pay. For some MPs I think it's more than a job. I'd count Jo Cox in that number, I mentioned her in relation to a post mentioning Jared O'Mara. I wasn't implying the number of MPs dying in post was large. poppet2
Does the PM and members of the cabinet still hold MP surgeries? It's just that with all the travelling some of them do, I wouldn't think they could find the time.
