Tomjames
Are you asking how do they keep a credit rating? Say you moved abroad. How do you keep a credit record in one country while building credit in another county. ---------- Post added 18-06-2016 at 16:20 ---------- Have a go at elaborating and explaining your situation and the question you want answered. See above. Presumably without a credit history it's difficult to take out a credit card. ---------- Post added 18-06-2016 at 16:21 ---------- Which board? This one... Cyclone
Your credit history in the UK won't disappear, particularly if you maintain the accounts, even with minimal activity. Building a rating abroad would be much like building one here when you're young. Open bank account, add self to voting register, get low limit credit card, make regular payments, etc... And yes Tomjames, I can validate the above from direct experience Bear in mind however, that in many other countries, a personal credit rating is not as 'hallowed' as it is in the UK (if it exists at all in the relevant country). 999tigger
Again, what is it you are asking? Are yopu asking if you went and lived abroad, whether you could mainatin a credit record in the UK, sufficient enough to persuade someone to ive you a mortgage to buy a property? Would that property be in the UK or abroad?
