The consequence thread (Brexit)

BBC claim:

or just ignore the news and look at a live graph. If you type ftse 100 into google you see it was going back up somewhat, but is now going down again (a lot more slowly than earlier). Who can say what it might do, it will probably be volatile for today?

Its still a lot higher than it was even in March this year. Newspapers seem to like taking small snapshots (the Sun did this the other way to make out the Brexit vote caused it to rise on a day when it fell on aggregate, though it did rise at some point).

Spain already have eyes on Gibraltar, and the EU suggesting Scotland hold independence referendum.
The Scottish and NI situation is going to be very interesting. Scotland, obviously enough for its independence and EU-remaining intentions, NI for how the UK is going handle its land border with the EU (border between RoI and NI, or between NI and the UK? big pains coming in either scenario).

Wouldn't it be fairly ironic, if the portion of Brexit-voting Little Englanders eventually ended up with, on the back of its Leave win...a (little-) England stripped of Scotland, NI and Wales? :D

It's still 5% lower than when it closed yesterday... a mahoosive drop..

No. It's code for folk like you shouting the odds before any clear picture emerges. The reality is the markets prepared for all this and once the dust settles we will all get along very nicely.

Some folk can accept democratic decisions. Around here they aren't used to that.

Why do you keep saying people aren't accepting the democratic result? Your comments are at odds with what people are posting. You seem oblivious to market forces.

Oh right. So the fact that Taylor Wimpey, Barratts and other UK builders are taking a 20%+ hammering at the moment is to do with me not accepting democratic decisions (which isn't true by the way, I accept the outcome of the referendum).

Funny that, one would almost say you are being a bit disingenuous.

If the Jocks want to leave the UK , let them get on with it. Then they can cosy up to the EU and Jimmy Krankie can lead her party how she wants .

Question to all the leavers, who do they want to take us forward?

A fully Brexit Government with ALL the remainers gone
