The consequence thread (Brexit)

Loved the EU guy who told farage if you hate us why are you still here? Dumb farage and ukip tools happy to get the eu gravy train and all that money but still criticising the EU.

Can't wait for the day when these neandarthals are booted out. Then they are going to blame someone else for their troubles

No we haven't, the EU grew 10,4% the UK 16,4% since 2004.

Isn't 16.4% bigger than 10.4%?

Wasn't 2004 a few years before the recession?

Like I said the UK economy has grown at almost twice that of the Eurozone since the recession. They had a second recession which lasted almost 2 years until 2013. 2 recessions in a decade is just plain careless.

But its good of you to confirm that over the last 12 years we have outgrown the Eurozone as well.

From the news footage i watched all i saw was a lot of very bitter dictators spitting their dummies out in Brussels .

Nigel didnt have to use much bait to have them all biting.

Well love him or loathe him you've got to say he is a successful politician. The IRA have tried for 100 years to get a united Ireland seperate from the UK. The SNP have fought for decades to get an independent Scotland. Plaid have tried to do the same for Wales.

Farage and UKIP with 1 MP have achieved their object by getting others to do the work.

Can't stand the guy myself.

Visas taking hundreds of jobs out of Britain, not good news.

Reads like it depends on the definition of Europe in the takeover deal. The UK is part of Europe even if it's not in the EU in the future.

EU data protection laws allow data to be hosted outside of the EU providing it matches the same requirements as within the EU, as does sending data outside of the EU from within. No legal reason for Visa to transfer anything outside of the UK in this scenario, so it sounds like a political reason within Visa itself.

It isn't from within Visa, it is the result of a Commission ruling on competition. The original deal of European operations being taken over by the US branch was only allowed under the provisor that the data would not leave the European Union. This is the result of the US "snooper charter" which allows the CIA and FBI to process all banking details in the US. The EU does not wish to be part of that, in particular after the Americans abused their intelligence capability to spy on European leaders.
