The consequence thread (Brexit)

Really? Closet-brexiter mr corbyn surely wouldn't like jobs going abroad. I did have a little chuckle at the mail or express wildly celebrating a potential trade deal with austrailia.

Did you read the link? Do you think the Japanese are lying?

Corbin is not really a Brexit leader is he

Strictly speaking the two main brexit leaders are now foreign secretary and part time rabble rouser for Donald trump. I don't know what they're going to do. I know there's Davis et al but they can't do much with the PMs say so.

If left to their own devices they will turn the UK into an ultra free trade globalist theme park.

From an ideological perspective the Brexit leaders wouldn't care. That would be trade happening as they expect with manufacturing finding the best cost locations. From a political perspective they would have to pretend to care but they wouldn't be bothered if those jobs were lost. All part of the process of globalisation.

People have no idea what they have voted for here. They really don't.

Hold on a minute, this globalisation and companies taking themselves to more suitable locations etc, has been very much the norm for a long time now.

Yes it has but there are barriers to the UK's full participation in the process, and to the Tory right wing those barriers are created by the EU.

Interesting that a Select Committe report that states

"It would be constitutionally inappropriate, not to mention setting a disturbing precedent, for the Executive to act on an advisory referendum without explicit parliamentary approval—particularly one with such significant long-term consequences. The Government should not trigger Article 50 without consulting Parliament."

has been ignored by the group of 'experts' in the forum.

Because we know what will happen when it goes to Parliament don't we...?

Bye bye brexit...
