Isabelle
Currently looking for car insurance for my partners car with me as named driver. I recently had an accident (my fault) as a named driver in his car. The insurance is sorting out the accident claim. On the new insurance quote forms, which of us declares it against our name? It was my accident, but he's made a claim, so he reckons it goes against his name not mine. I haven't done this for a long time, and I'm convinced I put it against my name only last time. Can anyone ?
alchresearch
When you do it online it asks each named driver if they've had an accident, so you declare it under your name.
Isabelle
His insurance told him it goes under his name as he made the claim. It's just its £200 more if it's on his name, rather than mine
alchresearch
Ah, if he made the claim then that's the problem. You'll be stung twice because don't they ask if you've had any "accidents claims or convictions"? He's had the claim. You've had the accident.
