Media influence on politics

Recommended Posts

Ive not mentioned either! You must be confusing me with someone else.

No; you say Last Leg is biased. I pointed out, in a roundabout way, its a silly TV chat show. Whereas I could argue the Sun and Mail actually have influence. But you have your beef with the Last Leg. Which is a bit daft.

The Sun has a circulation of around 1.8 million and the last leg has viewing figures of around 1.7 million.

Both are media and both have influence, as thats what the thread is about i think its relevant.

Im not daft thanks.

I make no apology for your inability to read between the lines.

Maybe an opology for your attitude may be more in order!.

If you cant talk to people properly and with respect then dont talk at all.

The Last Leg is a TV show that premiered during the 2012 London Paralympic Games to comment on those events and, due to its success, spun off into a regular series. Why you feel it worthy of being labelled either biased or unbiased is absurd.

Wanna have a pop at Mock the Week next?

The thread is entitled "media influence on politics"

I assume that means all media?

Did you watch it?

My comment was that it couldnt have been anymore biased if it tried, based of course on watching it last night.

Valid subject matter, valid opinion.

Hence my comment, 'you go after the big guns don't ya?'

I think when Tim opened the thread he meant media more significant than the poxy Last Leg.

I hope that clears it up for you.

Is the problem the media or is it that most people are so stupid that they can be easily misled?

Probably. I often read things in the Mail and the Guardian - the reality will usually be somewhere in the middle. The referendum campaign has proven that.
