Shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting of Philando Castile by police in Minnesota, as his girlfriend streams live video.

It's terrible what happened. I'm glad his girlfriend was savvy enough to do this because I think this will now make a lot more people sit up and listen and demand action to prevent such incidents.

I think black lives matter are getting their own back right now on white lives don't matter. All white police can't be bad. 11 shot and some dead for doing their job? There were black officers on duty at the same time but were not targeted.

Who is in the wrong here?

The police and the shooter.

No.... The majority of the police risk their lives daily to uphold the law and keep us safe. The shooter broke the law for his/her own warped reason and targeted absolutely innocent people/police to prove something that they are supposedly really against.... The taking of innocent lives.

Imagine the fallout of all those peoples grief around the murdered because of a fanatic. The blame lies with the shooter. The police who committed a crime will be dealt with.... The police shot dead in this played no part in it and were innocent.

White police lives matter!

Of course they do. Doubtless then you'll join me in condemning the fact that a disproportionate number of black people are killed by the US police - in fact black men are five times more likely to be killed by police than white.

Depends. Is that the fault of the police, or the result of a bigger social problem?

Doubtless then you'll be joining me in condemning the disproportionate amount of black people that kill black people like the disproportionate number of Muslims Who kill Muslims.... No one kills more Muslims than Muslims.

Being black is not a reason, being bad is and unfortunately black Americans are involved in a very disproportionate amount of crimes as regard to their white counterparts. A fact that is undeniable.

Americans, guns, not something we'll ever understand and not our problem.

I've worked with a lot of ordinary Americans and one thing I've learned is never to discuss guns. There's such a huge gulf of understanding between our attitudes in Britain and theirs in the USA.
