tzijlstra
A peaceful protest in Dallas (Black lives matter) has resulted in (quite possible ex-army) two shooters taking down 12 policemen and killing 5 of those. All lives matter. Shooting people is wrong, no matter whether you carry a badge or not.
Mr Miyagi
No.... The majority of the police risk their lives daily to uphold the law and keep us safe. The shooter broke the law for his/her own warped reason and targeted absolutely innocent people/police to prove something that they are supposedly really against.... The taking of innocent lives. Imagine the fallout of all those peoples grief around the murdered because of a fanatic. The blame lies with the shooter. The police who committed a crime will be dealt with.... The police shot dead in this played no part in it and were innocent. White police lives matter! ALL lives matter! RIP to the police who have died in this terribly sad incident and also RIP to Philando Castile. Life just seems so cheap in the States
euroout23
Of course they do. Doubtless then you'll join me in condemning the fact that a disproportionate number of black people are killed by the US police - in fact black men are five times more likely to be killed by police than white. will you condem the senseless shooting of 5 innocent Dallas police officers overnight, this is a **** the police mentality so often seen by the public by the black communities in america. your figure of a black man 5 times more likely to be killed by police in America well seeing as how most of the gun and drug crime is committed by blacks its not surprising is it?? euroout23
Are you condemning the senseless killing of Philando Castile or not? Or are you going to score points whilst this whole thing carries on? of course that looks to have been wrong and i condem that and if it proves to be then he should be punished like any other illegal shooter! BUT there are many occasions where the attitude and uncooperative nature of sections of some communities make things like this all the more difficult. Guest
I don't think this is really about race, as there seems to be plenty of black police officers, even senior ones, in America. Its more socio economic. The "Black lives matter" organisation should be called "poor peoples lives matter" instead.
Cyclone
White police lives matter! Did anyone say that they didn't? This is just a strawman designed to detract from the number of innocent black people shot by the police... https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13606781_1145071632224056_4476044143746384720_n.jpg?oh=688a07a9c6185fe421a608a2e72074a2&oe=57F3E741 ---------- Post added 08-07-2016 at 09:40 ---------- I don't think this is really about race, as there seems to be plenty of black police officers, even senior ones, in America. Lex Luthor
Terrible news. There's no justification for this. The officers killed will have had nothing to do with the previous shootings. The people peacefully protesting looked understandably devastated.
Jakeypoos
Did anyone say that they didn't? This is just a strawman designed to detract from the number of innocent black people shot by the police... Of course, the American police go round picking off innocent blacks as fast as they can find them or is it that a disproportionate amount of blacks commit more crimes than whites when each have a gun levelled at them during an arrest or is your strawman ready for burning? Cyclone
I'm not quite sure what claim your making here. Could you rephrase it slightly into a simple statement. At first glance you appear to be trying to justify why many times more unarmed, innocent black men are killed than white (and that's many more before we even take into account the % of the population that they make up).
