Personally, I spend every Wednesday evening at Knights In Battle's practice evening at St Augustine's Church on Brocco Bank. Not only is it terrific fun (no adrenaline rush like someone swinging a sword at you!) but a good social scene too. And on Thursdays I'm at Blitz Modern Jive at Crookes Social Club. The dancing is great fun, the social scene is vibrant as you dance with all the people of the other gender in both classes and freestyle, and it's a good keep-fit evening. No No Yes, or at least a DJ/jam night/open mic/even Karaoke but there has to be something on. A good pub with good drinks, great service and atmosphere, music or as above. As above.
