Eater Sundae
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36829391 The two girls sentenced to 3+ years. Judge of the opinion that their intent was bad. So it appears that the toddler had a lucky escape.
runningman1
I think the parents should be charged too. It is high time people took responsibility for their kids. The teenagers should have got far longer, 8 years plus. 6 months in a parenting prison for the parents.

Halibut
As usual far too lenient. Without access to all the details of the case including psychiatric and social reports on the perpetrators, how can you sensibly form that opinion?

Quite easily actually....... and that is exactly what it is MY OPINION. You are entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine. OK ?
Hogg
That poor mother whose child was stolen will suffer severe anxiety for a long time to come - possibly forever. The incident may well affect her parenting style, making her over-protective. The girls, who are probably in a bit of a bad way themselves, seem to have had evil intent toward the child. They will benefit from being in secure units until they are adults, where they might learn how to live without causing harm. After that a long period under the supervision of the probation service may have been some good, but unfortunately the Government have sold it. hackey lad
I may be wrong but Im sure I read somewhere, that these girls had tried to do the same before . if true it is a very worrying case

Yeah, even if it's based on no actual knowledge of anything relevant.
