rogets
BBQs and Picnics have been enjoyed by brits for decades as soon as it stops raining, the weather gets warmer and the sun comes out. But do you think that the anual summer riot will become a common feature in the UK? We never hear of riots in winter or when there are thunderstorms. When you look at the riots that have taken place in recent years, they all follow a regular pattern - Always in hot weather - Always in Summer - Always after 2pm (you self respecting rioter won't leave his/her bed before midday) - Always in dry weather Will it be a case of hope for a wet summer to avoid riots? What can be done, because as soon as we have a July heatwave thats when the rioters turn out in force
Fudbeer
Hopefully lessons have been learnt from the London riots. The low key actions of the Police early on was a big mistake and allowed things to escalate quickly imo. I also think the amount of people subsequently caught through cctv footage may put people off doing the same again.
Berberis
It's a very interesting subject. There is a widely accepted theory behind hot weather and riots. There is almost never a riot in the winter in the UK. Seems in the summer when its very hot, people get irritated.
dangerousedd
I'm not sure that cctv would deter people once they get hot under the collar like that.

Smashing up your neighbourhood is not an acceptable method of getting attention. Plus its predominantly perpetrated by criminals and thugs who do not care about the political elite but take the opportunity to commit crimes such as looting, criminal damage and arson. Revel
maybe if the police didn't break up a waterfight with riot gear..... Nothing says "Black Lives Matter" like carrying a knife and stabbing a police officer. More like "Black Stereotypes True". Great way to support the cause!
