A machete attack by a Syrian asylum-seeker has left one woman dead and two other people injured, police in south-western Germany say.

Witnesses said the attack happened after an argument developed between the man and the woman in the town of Reutlingen, near Stuttgart.

Police said the attacker had been arrested and there was no indication that it was terrorist attack.

Sorry, Mel, but how often do folk get hacked to death with a machete?

To be fair, how often do folk get killed by a member of the opposite sex with a bladed weapon?

Happened in Gleadless a while back didn't it!

Copper was attacked with a machete and then there was the woman knifed to death in the street.

There is a genuine hyper-sensitivity, particularly in the media, but also elsewhere. It is very tangible on Reddit, as soon as there is a suspicion of a muslim culprit it blows up. And Reddit is, in general, a very liberal crowd.
