jatefrost
Hi. Just trying to locate anyone (perhaps a grandparent) who worked at J Stead & Co during the war. My mother started work there in 1943 at the age of 14 (her school was bombed and so pupils found jobs). Interested in chating to anyone who worked there at that time...my other often recounts her first day at work there...a little lost and at sea and gentleman helped her get her bearings..she later found out it was one of the directors.
