woodmally
I'm not often speechless but this is it. There will be a virtual reality hole in the road. I kid yee not: http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/return-of-sheffield-s-hole-in-the-road-1-8037188

BHRemovals
I loved the hole in the road, especially the fish tanks.
Obelix
Tanks? Was there more than one then? It's been a long time perhaps my memory is dodgy.

InigoMontoya
There was only one tank as far as I can recall. Popular folklore would have you believe it was replaced every Monday morning in order for it to be smashed again the following Saturday evening. Funky_Gibbon
To be honest the tunnels you had to use to get to the actual Hole bit were a bit scary, well the ones on Angel Street were anyway, but when you reached the bit where you emerged into daylight it was quite nice, almost an oasis from the busy, very polluted streets above... although that might be the rose-tinted glasses of childhood speaking. Scary? Never! Sheffield in the 1980s was crime-free. . . yes, that is the rose-tinted glasses of childhood speaking. Although I don't recall it being as clean as the picture in the article.
