Ive been told its been to court and sentence has been passed but Im finding nothing anywhere. I have only a name and a very rough idea when it went to court. Can anyone help me find this information? I cant post the name on here but would have no trouble pm'ing you with it if anyone can help me? Thanks in advance
Love2print
Might sound a daft question but have you contacted the court in question? I think as long as its an open verdict then you should be able to find out. The particular court might have a website you can search on.
Miss_60
is this of any help? http://www.thelawpages.com/court-hearings-lists/Sheffield-Crown-Court.php
999tigger
There probably isnt a report unless the case was of some additional significance. Contact the court and you can pay someone to trasncribe it if you are that interested.
Jeffrey Shaw
Try the BAILII databases? See http://www.bailii.org/databases.html
redfox
If it is local - try putting the name into the Star search engine - or wait until the end of the week when I think they do a round up of court appearances at the magistrates. It is unlikely to be reported in bailli - if its a crown court case - You could always ask CPS - or even the police - When was it ? I may know the answer you seek
Mossway
If you know his name and in which court he was sentenced then (a) if it's the Mags Ct write and ask for a Memorandum of Conviction - there's a small charge (b) Crown Ct you need a Certificate of Conviction but I seem to recall you'll be asked why you need it. So, ring the Court, and ask them.
