After West End and before Doctor's Orders what was it called???

It was just the West End (in various guises) until the latest slightly better re-brand:

It's still not very good, it could be much better. At least it's still open I suppose.

Considering it was was bang smack next to the University you'd have thought it would have been better frequented when it was the West End, alas it was never very good.

 

I've heard it's much better nowadays.

It is much, much better nowadays.

 

I've eaten in there a few times and, for standard pub grub, it's decent. It is also much busier than it used to be and frequented by a lot of folk from the hospitals rather than the scrubbers who made the West End their home.
