pintsized
I bought some foreign currency on my Barclaycard in June and paid off the amount in July. I didn't realise this would incur an interest charge as it counted as taking money out on your card. The first month in July I got the charge refunded out of courtesy. I have just received my August statement and again have been charged interest on my cash balance, I rang up and they refunded it, but I am a little confused why I've been charged it again when I paid the full amount off and I haven't taken any money out this month to incur the charge again. I only took the credit card out to pay securely for some flights for a holiday next year.
Jeffrey Shaw
Perhaps you were charged not interest but commission? Anyway, the Bank's website presumably notifies you of what charges there'll be. Does it and did you read it beforehand?
