Solomon1
"TSSA general secretary Manuel Cortes accused Virgin of being "disingenuous" and said Mr Corbyn had "highlighted this daily travel blight which means people sit on floors on trains every day because of overcrowding" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/article-3754701/Virgin-CCTV-shows-Corbyn-walking-past-seats-packed-train-claim.html ---------- Post added 25-08-2016 at 11:59 ---------- One thing I don't understand - MPs, especially those as high up as Corbyn, have massive staffs, including, one would think, a travel co-ordinator who would have pre-booked seats. I can't (& won't) believe that these trips are not planned in advance - so why not book seats? That's what I do for any trips outside S. Yorkshire Last minute plans We only had 2 days notice of Sheffield Rally
RollingJ
Bad planning then - meant that few people would be aware of rally - and Corbyn would have to chance it. Saying that, though, I bet if they asked, they'd still have found them seats.

Obelix
"TSSA general secretary Manuel Cortes accused Virgin of being "disingenuous" Really? Corbyn lied about the train being ram packed. It wasn't. There was easily space to move. As soon as he said ram packed on the 11:00 it was clear he was being economical with the truth. Corbyn said there were no seats. He lied. Corbyn then said there were bags on all the seats. He lied again. He then said that he couldn't find more than one seat next to each other free. (so you found several then - so they weren't all covered with bags?) Are we really to assume that the Leader of the Opposition is so timid that he cannot ask a member of the public to please move a bag? Is he really that much of a wimp? Do you want someone so weedy to lead this country? So he then decided to make political capital of this by sitting on the floor and lying about the company and how awful it is. Branson should have kept quiet and had Virgin sue him for libel. Then Corbyn whines about how mean that Branson is for releaseing the footage and claiming it's wrong DPA etc... If you look you see that everyones face is blanked out... The real story here is a dishonest politican was stupid enough to forget trains have CCTV, and to collude with others to make a video that told lies to the public, and then he got caught. Corbyns not fit to be a janitor in charge of a bucket, let alone Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition....

What's with the surly and sarcastic tone towards the journalist? Fair enough he wanted to talk about the NHS but does he not have a PR man telling him to tone that down? It's not the first time he has behaved like a moody brat. This 'man of the people' looks rather unpleasant to me.
geared
What is it Branson is supposed to have lied about, he called out Corbyn for his lies which it appears makes old beardy correct. I'll quote Obelix instead of re-typing all the obvious points. Really? Corbyn lied about the train being ram packed. It wasn't. There was easily space to move. Solomon1
"Think Corbyn is an unelectable loser? Apart from what you’ve read in your daily newspaper, how much do you really know about him? Corbyn is a phenomenally hard working MP who passionately fights to protect the poor and vulnerable, seeks to protect the NHS, wants to nationalise natural monopolies and take back publicly financed utilities that were sold off to investors at a pittance, aims to stem the flow of capital from the poor to the rich, and campaigns tirelessly to seek diplomacy over war. Perhaps most threatening of all to the overseas billionaires is that Corbyn wants to stop corporate tax breaks, close down overseas tax avoidance, and stamp out wage inequality. This makes him hugely unpopular with the wealthy elite" http://www.thelondoneconomic.com/tle-pick/think-jeremy-corbyn-is-a-loser-oh-dear-youve-been-brainwashed/18/08/
