I bet Ed Balls won't win Strictly either.

Ed Ball's days of winning things have passed.

I hate this man very much. His face makes me angry, and when he speaks it makes my skin crawl.

He still would have made a better leader than Corbyn.

Both career politicians totally out of touch with the working class vote.

Quite.

For decades Labour just expected the working class vote.

They took them for granted and instead pursued the public sector workers.

Now the working class vote is gone and they'll have to earn it back.

Sorry, is he a friend of yours?

No not at all.

Your thread title, 'The end of the Labour Party', could've been a good opportunity for forum members to discuss centre left politics, social democracy in other European countries, and a comparison with the Tory Party after Blair was elected.

But you were having none of it. In fact in your opening post, you said that you had "found it necessary to spend 3 days in silent contemplation". (I wonder why?) About your intense dislike of Jeremy Corbyn and Owen Smith....though you "remain, above all, extremely concerned by the threat to political discourse, democracy, liberty and all the things which we (across the political spectrum) hold most dear". what a load of pompous bilge from you!

Question Time next week. Smith v Corbyn. I don't think I've ever seen Corbyn on QT.

Hopefully the Beeb will vet studio guests so it's not infiltrated by too many Momentum activists that boo and heckle Smith whenever he speaks...
